Chong Kal, Cambodia

Hea finds connection and community

Hea, a 14-year-old boy from Chong Kal, Cambodia, misses his mother deeply. She was forced to migrate to Thailand to find work, hoping to support her family and pay off their debts.

Although Hea is safe living with relatives, the separation has left him feeling lonely. Thankfully, through FH, he’s found connection and support. Hea now spends time with other children in the community, learning valuable lessons about hygiene and handwashing. He is safe, empowered, and surrounded by a supportive community.
